BBC's Birdsong under fire over mumbled lines

The sound of birdsong is enough to lift even the most miserly spirits. But not if it is the BBC period drama of the same name. The Daily Telegraph reports that viewers have complained about Birdsong , broadcast on BBC1 on Sunday night, because of "the actors' poor diction and mumbled lines". Presumably those complainants did not smart at the show's steamy sex scenes.
