Now listening: reader playlist

This week's playlist is by 15-year-old John James Burke, who recently joined the Guardian's music desk for a few days' work experience. He has wanted to be a journalist since he was 12. Between Borders – Flowers in My Pocket Flowers in My pocket has got everything. A brilliant beat, an angelic voice and some lovely lyrics. It's my favourite song at the moment. Two Door Cinema Club – This Is the Life A heart-warming, beautiful song. One reason I love it is because of how it changes: it starts off slow and calm, but goes into a fast-paced beat and gets very loud. Embrace – Gravity My favourite Embrace song. After first hearing it on Gavin & Stacey , I now listen to almost every day. Danny McNamara has a delicate voice that is perfect for this song. Labrinth – Express Yourself Every time I listen to Express Yourself I feel happy. If I'm in a bad mood this is the first song I listen to. I recommend it to anyone feeling down. The Vaccines – If You Wanna A rock song from the Vaccines , as first heard on a Made in Chelsea trailer. The beat really gets your blood pumping. Black Kids – I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How to Dance with You I'm not usually a Black Kids fan but this song surprised me with its high tempo and catchy beat. Plain White T's – Rhythm of Love This is my favourite love song – it's always the last song I listen to on my playlist as it's the one I want to keep in my head for the rest of the day. • Interested in submitting a playlist?
