A Song for Summer by Eva Ibbotson - review

A Song for Summer is about a young lady called Ellen, who travels to a boarding school in Austria to start her life as an independent lady. At the boarding school she is bewitched by her new and fabulous life and she is enchanted by Marek the mysterious gardener. While Ellen is falling in love with Marek there is someone back in England who wants Ellen for his own... This is a beautifully written book full of suspense and mystery. Its enticing quality engrossed me from the first page and I just wanted to know what was going to happen next. It is a thrilling book which girls from the ages 11- 17 will love.
