Marcelo Bielsa agrees new contract extension with Athletic Bilbao

The Athletic Bilbao coach Marcelo Bielsa has signed a new contract to stay with the Europa League runners-up until at least next summer. "Athletic and coach Marcelo Bielsa have agreed to extend the contractual relationship linking both sides until 30 June 2013," confirmed a club statement. As well as taking Athletic to the European final, Bielsa oversaw a campaign that ended with the team reaching the Copa del Rey final, which they lost to Barcelona, and finishing 10th in La Liga.
