Angharad Rees's revelatory role for Dennis Potter
I first knew Angharad Rees in Paris in 1962, and for the next five years in London. She had a radiant smile, twinkling eyes and a quite enchanting voice. She trained at Rose Bruford College, Sidcup, on a drama teaching course. The first time I realised her quality as an actor came when she had the role of a pet shop owner's dying daughter in Dennis Potter's TV play Joe's Ark. A versatile performer and lovely person, once known, she was never forgotten.
