William Letford: roofer by day, poet by night

As well as being an international book festival, organisers here in Edinburgh have made a real effort to showcase local talent. And as local talent goes, the Forest Cafe's Golden Hour event is a real institution to bring to the festival. A particular highlight at last night's Unbound in the Spiegeltent was poet William Letford . There's no way I can do justice to his performance of 'There's hunners o burds on the roofs,' so we've got a recent recording for you to experience it for yourself. I knew Billy was going to be good when Peggy Hughes of the Scottish Poetry Library whispered, "This guy is amazing." Have a listen to the Audioboo below and judge for yourself. Many thanks to Stanza Poetry for the link.
