Everton's David Moyes considers move for Crewe midfielder Nick Powell
David Moyes is considering a move for Crewe's coveted midfielder Nick Powell this summer having joined a host of Premier League admirers to scout the 18-year-old at Gresty Road on Saturday. The Everton manager, and Sir Alex Ferguson and his Manchester United assistant Mike Phelan, attended Crewe's 2-2 draw against Aldershot to watch the midfielder, whose 15 goals this season have helped the League Two club into the play-offs and attracted strong interest from Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Liverpool. Powell is rated at £3m and Moyes hopes the teenager's desire to sign for a Premier League club that can offer an immediate first-team opportunity will enhance Everton's prospects of landing the latest talent to emerge from Crewe's youth system.
