Jim Carrey makes a scary movie: a video love letter to Emma Stone
"I'm 49. I have lines on my face, sometimes a little grey in my beard, and it takes me a little longer to pee than it used to." Welcome ladies, to the Jim Carrey school of seduction. The Mr Popper's Penguins actor took to his website this afternoon to record a video love letter to Golden Globe winner Emma Stone, star of Superbad, Zombieland and the forthcoming The Amazing Spider-Man. Speaking in a voice that occasionally cracked under the weight of his sincerity/an urge not to laugh, Carrey described 22-year-old Stone as "all the way beautiful. Not just pretty, but smart and kind-hearted." "If I were a lot younger," he said. "I would marry you, and we would have chubby little freckle-faced kids. Everyday for the rest of your life, you would thank God that I was the appropriate age for you. But I'm not." Response to Carrey's performance has ranged from delight to disgust , with many left unsure as to whether Carrey's message is a genuine declaration of love, a publicity stunt for his JimCarreyTruLife blog (a reality show-style catalogue of Carrey's recent shenanigans) or a mixture of both. "My message to Emma Stone was a comedy routine," said the actor on his Twitter feed . "And the funniest part is that everything I said is true."
