Goodison Road is packed with fans before kick off. Today's attendance is 27,564 which means Goodison is almost three quarters full, which is a lot more than some other grounds . There were forty coaches lining the road alongside Stanley Park as more than 6,000 Tamworth fans descended on Merseyside for the biggest game in the club's 79-year history Photograph: Tom Jenkins for the Observer Tamworth's nickname is "The Lambs" - so no prizes for guessing who these two support Photograph: Tom Jenkins for the Observer There's another lamb inside the ground, along with an inflatable FA Cup Photograph: Tom Jenkins for the Observer And of course one made out of cardboard and silver foil, along with a wig and tache courtesy of Harry Enfield's Scousers caricature Photograph: Tom Jenkins for the Observer Photograph: Action images Tamworth fan with flat cap commemorating their famous victory in 1989 when they lifted the FA Vase Photograph: Tom Jenkins for the Observer As kick off approaches some of the Tamworth faithful get nervous. However, the home fans respected the non-league side's effort and applauded them off the pitch - a gesture reciprocated by Tamworth manager Marcus Law. His opposite number David Moyes also appreciated that his team had been given a game by the visitors and waited five minutes on the opposite side of the pitch to shake hands with each and every one of the Tamworth players before they finally headed down the tunnel Photograph: Tom Jenkins for the Observer
