OFFER EXPIRED Get £10 off tickets to see The Playboy of the Western World at The Old Vic

The Playboy of the Western World is JM Synge's savagely funny play, first produced in 1907. On opening night, it was met with rioting and controversy, sending shock waves across the dramatic world. Set in a small village in County Mayo on the west coast of Ireland, the play is a lyrical comedy which tells the story of lonely dreamer Christy Mahon. He wanders into a pub, claiming that he has killed his father. Captivating the locals with his tale of bravery, he becomes an instant hero but it turns out that there's an unexpected twist in his tale. Extra members can save £10 on top price tickets as follows: • 17-26 September - £44.50 tickets for £34.50 • 27 September-7 October - £49.50 tickets for £39.50 (excludes Tuesday 27 September).
