Black Swan director plans George Washington biopic
Darren Aronofsky is aiming to direct a George Washington biopic called The General. The film, rumoured to be an Unforgiven-style romp based on the life of the first US president, is being courted by Hollywood studio Paramount, according to Variety . Paramount, which has a first-look deal with the director's Protozoa Pictures production company, is negotiating over the script written by Adam Cooper and Bill Collage , who are currently searching for a way to bring Where's Waldo to the big screen . Aronofsky's next confirmed project is Noah, a $150m (£94m) biblical epic about the man chosen by God to shepherd two of every animal away from a great flood. Russell Crowe has been attached to the lead role , while Saoirse Ronan and Jennifer Connelly are also rumoured to appear . The film, out in 2014, will be the director's follow-up to Black Swan , the 2010 ballet melodrama that won an Oscar for its star, Natalie Portman.
