Olympics: Simon Terry on archery at London 2012
Individual and team Age 36 Born Grantham Honours Bronze in individual and team events at 1992 Games; gold in team event at 2007 world championships " Being selected to compete in any Olympics is the ultimate achievement for an athlete, and I have been privileged to enjoy the Olympic experience twice: at Barcelona in 1992 (when I won two bronze medals), and Beijing in 2008. But to be involved in your own country, supported by home fans, and watched from the stands by family and friends, would be the dream come true. But it is more than just taking part – if I do represent Team GB, I will not simply be turning up for the occasion, but to be chasing a place on the medal winners' podium. Being a part of the London Games is my ambition; winning a medal at my home Olympics is my goal."
