Did Principality lose my money?
On 6 April I opened a three-year fixed-rate cash Isa account with Principality building society. The next day I transferred £5,340 to it from my Alliance & Leicester current account, but Principality has not acknowledged receipt of these funds. I tried its customer support phone number but am unable to get through. I have also written to Principality but have not received a response to my letter. I just want to know that it received the amount which left my account on 7 April. FM, Tonbridge, Kent Once we contacted Principality it rustled up a savings certificate with an account number for your Isa, claiming it sent you the letter at the time, and the funds were credited to your new account on 11 April. You maintain you did not receive this confirmation, but it is with you now, so you now know your £5,340 has not vanished. We welcome letters but cannot answer individually. Email us at [email protected] or write to Brignall & King, Money, the Guardian, 90 York Way, London N1 9GU. Please include a daytime phone number
