Planning round up: Marchmont student halls and new Leith supermarket

In the Forth ward: Cala Management has resubmitted its plans for a major development of villas, mews houses and apartments within the walled grounds of the former Trinity Park House. See the application details here . Corstorphine and Murrayfield: Network Rail want to carry out work on the bridge at Ladywell Avenue. Details here . Sighthill and Gorgie: Ross' Snack Bar has applied to put a non-moveable snack bar at 50 Bankhead Terrace. Meadows and Morningside Edinburgh Napier University has applied to change an educational building at 47 Marchmont Crescent into 15 residential units. The plan would also see a separate commercial unit at the ground floor. Full details here . Leith Walk ward: A plan by the Co-operative Group to change to former pub at 8 McDonald Road into a convenience store has already proved controversial. The Broughton Spurtle was first to report on the plans on Tuesday. New Town and Broughton Apex Hotels have applied to demolish a link bridge at Parliament House Hotel on Calton Hill. Portobello and Craigmillar A resident in Pittville Street has applied to put photovoltaic panels on their roof. The applicant says they are temporary fro 25 years and can be removed without damage to the building. You can search for planning applications using the council's City Development portal.
