NHS reforms: the infection control director's view

The system gets squeezed all the time by reforms. My job is to make sure that frontline staff and patients aren't affected. There is lots we can do to get the NHS leaner, but the NHS-bashing saddens me. We get thousands of compliments for every complaint. I'm pretty apolitical. I realised a long time ago that whatever hand we're dealt, our job is to make sure it works. I'd just like to have more detail. I don't have a problem with dealing with change but it would help if I understood more.
