Carlos Tevez brands Manchester City transfer deadlock 'very strange'

Carlos Tevez has reportedly described his ongoing impasse with Manchester City as "very strange" and admitted he remains unsure what his future holds after he failed to secure a move in the transfer window. Tevez, who has been in Argentina since 7 November, had been expected to complete a January transfer to Italy, but the window closed without resolution. In quotes attributed to Kicker magazine in Germany and widely reported, Tevez said he would continued to pursue his appeal to the Premier League against the six-week fine imposed on him by City in December, but remained hopeful the club would find a solution. Tevez said: "The situation is very strange for me. I want to leave and had offers from other leagues, from Spain and Italy. But ultimately nothing happened because City would not accept any bids. There were offers from Milan, Internazionale and even Paris Saint-Germain. "They say at City that I have cost them a lot of money so they do not want to give me away. But they do not want to loan me out either. I really don't know what will happen to me." Tevez reportedly stated that "people can think what they want" about his conduct during the episode. "There is a personal aspect to all this. I wanted to be closer to my family, above all my children who are and were in Argentina. And because I couldn't play any longer at City I took control of the situation myself … The hardest part is the uncertainty of not knowing precisely how things will work out." Tevez did not fully rule out making an unlikely comeback at Eastlands, saying: "I must talk about that with the City leadership."
