EXPIRED Win tickets to an exclusive private view of the Turner Prize at Tate Britain
Arguably the world's most recognised and prestigious award for contemporary art, the Turner Prize presents the very best of current British talent. This year, the award returns to Tate Britain after a hugely popular exhibition at Gateshead's BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art in 2011. The £25,000 Turner Prize is presented to an artist under 50, living, working or born in Britain for an outstanding exhibition in the previous 12 months. The winner will be announced on Monday 3 December 2012 during a live broadcast by Channel 4. As media partner, the Guardian has 100 pairs of tickets to give away to Guardian Extra members for an exclusive private view of the four shortlisted exhibits. The event will take place on 9 October and will include a guided tour. Doors open at 6.45pm and the event will start at 7pm sharp . The draw closes at midnight on Wednesday 26 September 2012.
