Jonathan Saunders: menswear autumn/winter 2012 - in pictures
The fabrics in the collection were developed by Saunders at a mill in England, this jacket features an intricate 3D concertina effect fabric reminiscent of a MC Escher sketch. Photograph: PR Saunders said he took inspiration from David Hockney, Mick Jagger and George Harrison: 'Guys that wore colour and appear masculine.' Photograph: PR This jumper is what the fashion desk lovingly refers to as a 'piece'. A piece will do wonders for your wardrobe, lifting it from humdrum to stellar. We promise. Photograph: PR Next season is all about the coat and luxe fabrics, this coat ticks both boxes and is roomy enough to wear over a quilted jacket. Photograph: pr Tailoring is another key trend for autumn/winter 2012. This mélange suit is the stuff of dreams. Photograph: PR Made from the same Escher fabric as the double-breasted jacket, this bomber is a standout piece of the collection, clashed here to great effect with a printed T-shirt and claret trousers. Photograph: PR The collection uses a modish colour palette, clashing powder-blue and brown, pale pink and red for a retro feel. Photograph: PR Clashing print and texture is a key feature of the collection. Photograph: PR A twin-set for chaps. The use of rayon and angora provides an interesting contrast finish that makes it altogether more blokey than the words 'twin-set' might suggest. Photograph: pr One of our favourite pieces is this tri-colour bomber jacket, it's a really easy way to introduce more colour in to a dark wardrobe. Photograph: PR
