Iñigo Martínez scores second halfway-line goal of season for Sociedad

The Real Sociedad defender Iñigo Martínez scored his second incredible halfway-line goal of the season to give Real Sociedad a 3-2 injury-time win at Real Betis. On 2 October the centre-back equalised for Sociedad from five yards within his own half during the 2-1 defeat to Athletic Bilbao. Jonathan Pereira had pulled Betis level with two late goals when, in the second minute of added time, Martínez caught the Betis goalkeeper Casto Espinosa off his line with a perfectly-placed powerful left-footed strike from the left-side of the pitch, just inside his own half. The victory ended Sociedad's eight-game winless run. Sociedad had gone ahead through Imanol Agirretxe's 56th-minute opener and Carlos Vela's goal in the 76th. After winning their first four games to start the season, Betis have now lost eight of their last nine.
