Christmas charity appeal: Guardian and Observer writers take your calls
Want to speak to Alan Rusbridger? Want to get fashion tips from Hadley Freeman or Jess Cartner-Morley? Talk politics with Michael White, football with Richard Williams or discuss films with Peter Bradshaw? Want to talk to Steve Bell about drawing David Cameron? Some of the Guardian and Observer's best-known writers and editors will be answering the phones on Saturday waiting to take credit card donations from readers for the Christmas charity appeal. This year, we are raising money for disadvantaged young people in the UK. Readers helped us to select 10 charities that improve the lives of the most vulnerable young people in the country. In an introduction to the appeal , Alan Rusbridger writes: "What do our 10 charities provide? In short, they transform lives and life chances. On a practical level, they provide programmes and activities that offer help, support, training, mentorship and advice to youngsters aged 13-24. They bring hope, broaden horizons, instil confidence and emotional resilience, and inspire." Over the past few weeks we've been publishing reports and case studies about the amazing work done by the individual charities. You can find out more about where they are based on our interactive map . Please take a moment to ring in and make a donation. Even a small amount of money will help some of the country's most excluded young people to start turning their lives around. Call 0203 353 4368 Lines will be open between 10am and 6pm on Saturday.
