Carlos Tevez denies giving interview to German magazine Kicker

Carlos Tevez's advisers have said the player is not responsible for quotes attributed to him in a German football magazine. "Regarding an interview published in Kicker Magazine, Carlos Tevez categorically denies both speaking to any journalist about his situation at Manchester City and the quotes attributed to him in the interview," they said. In the interview Tevez was quoted as describing his ongoing impasse with Manchester City as "very strange" and admitting he was unsure what his future holds after he failed to secure a move in the transfer window. However, Jörg Wolfrum, a spokesman for Kicker magazine, said: "We would like to express, that we have absolutely no reason to mistrust our correspondent Sergio Levinsky. He is a well-known Argentine journalist, who is very familiar with Carlos Tevez and for many years has reliably worked for Kicker." Tevez, who has been in Argentina since 7 November, had been expected to complete a January transfer to Italy but the window closed without resolution.
