Blog jam: The Music Hoarder

Who are you and what's your blog called? I'm Joe Taylor and I run the Music Hoarder . Where are you based? Manchester, round the corner from Heaton Park. Describe your blog in a sentence Exciting fresh bands covered in sarcastic mood swings. How long has your blog been going? We launched in mid-February so in internet terms we are new and naive, though people who help contribute have written for a host of other sites. What do you write about? New music is what we like to uncover. We spend hours each day tracking down artists who deserve wider recognition. Nothing can beat the feeling of stumbling across a sound that you know people are going to love. Each day there are also bits of sarcastic news and unflattering gifs as well as interviews and reviews. Why should people visit your blog? Because we enjoy having fun, there is a lot of seriousness in the world of internet music, and that's fine, but sometimes it's just nice to have some new bands thrown in your face while being impelled to read a sarcastic overview of the music industry. We also enjoy gifs, that alone should be a good enough reason. What's your top song right now? Probably the toughest question a music enthusiast can be asked. But the first song that comes to mind is Jessie Ware and Wildest Moments . She's firmly at the top of many people's lists this year and her latest song is an epic pop ballad: Reading on mobile? Disco Naivete has been a constant stream of fantastic new and exciting music for us, always finding something intriguing to research. Being big alternative pop and electronic music lovers we always stop by Neon Gold to see their latest crop of exciting talent. When we want guilty pleasures we head over to Wot You Got, the funniest blogger we know and the Wikileaks of music. We also enjoy Dipped in Dollars and ShinyShinyNew.
