Aaron Ramsey plays for Arsenal for first time in nine months

Aaron Ramsey today played his first competitive football since February, after making it through 45 minutes of action for Arsenal's reserves against Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Wales midfielder broke his tibia and fibula in a challenge with Stoke City's Ryan Shawcross nine months ago and has been on an intensive rehabilitation programme following surgery. Ramsey emerged unscathed from his first real test since the injury, playing for a half of the 2-1 win over Wolves at Arsenal's training ground at London Colney. The 19-year-old had established himself as a regular in Arsène Wenger's side last season until the horrific injury at the Britannia Stadium.
