Top Gear cameraman's property deal drives politicians to the brink

Why does it always seem to be Top Gear that somehow attracts the headlines? A cameraman from the show, according to the Telegraph, has pulled off a deal to buy a TV studio that was built with £3.7m of taxpayers' money – for a bargain basement £150,000 – which has got Norwich politicians up in arms. The studio, the former headquarters of Anglia Television, was acquired and spruced up at a cost of £3.7m by East of England Development Agency and Norfolk county council. It was then sold to Jonathan Thursby, whose company Extreme Video is involved in filming Top Gear, for a six-figure sum.
