Hampshire cruise to thumping victory over Sussex in CB40 semi-final

Hampshire, the newly crowned Twenty20 Cup winners, will have the chance to confirm themselves as English cricket's dominant limited-overs team after condemning Sussex to their second semi-final defeat in eight days at Hove. The Sharks, who were bitterly disappointed to lose to Yorkshire in the first match of t20 finals day in Cardiff last Saturday, were going well at 159 for one until the dismissal of Matt Prior, but could manage only 219 for eight from their 40 overs despite a rapid century from Luke Wright, his second this week. Hampshire cruised to victory with more than seven overs to spare after their openers Michael Carberry and James Vince had provided a flying start with 129 inside 13 overs.
