Faye Dunaway denies being evicted from New York apartment
Faye Dunaway has denied reports that she has been evicted from her rent-controlled New York apartment. The Oscar-winning actress is being sued by her former landlord for an alleged breach of New York's rent stabilisation rules, which require the property to be used as the tenant's primary residence. According to the landlord, named as Henry Moses Jnr by the New York Times , Dunaway pays rent set at $1,048.72 (£639.16) a month on the Upper East Side flat, despite being registered as a Los Angeles resident. "I have not been evicted", Dunaway told the NYT. "I have chosen to leave because of the state of the apartment, and also because I am spending less and less time in New York". The case will be brought before the Manhattan housing court on 11 August.
