Manchester City closing on swap deal for defender Matija Nastasic

Reports in Italy suggest Manchester City are closing in on a swap deal for the Fiorentina defender Matija Nastasic which would send Stefan Savic go the other way. The 19-year-old Serbia international is expected to join the Premier League champions before Friday's transfer deadline, with the Serie A side set to receive €12m for the youngster. Fiorentina signed Nastasic from Partisan Belgrade last summer and he went on to make 25 appearances for the club as they finished 13th in the Italian top flight. Fiorentina began the current campaign with a 2-1 victory over Udinese, in which Nastasic played, but that could prove to be his last game for the Viola . Savic, 21, has failed to make a positive impact at the Etihad Stadium and had a particularly torrid time against Liverpool in the League Cup last season.
