Letter: Edwin Morgan obituary

Duncan J Ferguson writes: I must be one of many who, on hearing of the death of Edwin Morgan ( obituary , 20 August), was prompted to look back at scribbled notes from his Glasgow University lectures and tutorials. We were a fortunate generation which took arts courses in the 70s at Gilmorehill when he taught English literature. I recall, too, that Eddie heartily approved of seminars spilling over into the Aragon and Rubaiyat bars nearby.
