George Flies South by Simon James- review

I thought this book was fantastic. It's about two birds, a mum and a baby. The baby bird was trying to fly but he couldn't. He gets knocked out of his tree in his nest and blown onto a car. He has all sorts of adventures and nearly loses his mummy, but he is ok in the end because he does learn to fly. It was important he learnt how to fly because they had to fly south where it is hotter, so they wouldn't be too cold in the winter. The pictures are nice, the baby bird George is very cute. My favourite bit is when he starts to fly. It teaches about how birds fly south for the winter. Want to tell the world about a book you've read? Join the site and send us your review!
