Lana del Rey and A$AP Rocky to portray Jackie and JFK
Last time the Kennedys were portrayed on screen – in the 2011 mini-series about JFK and Jackie – there was an outcry. Former Kennedy aide Ted Sorensen called the series "character assassination". How, then, will the remaining survivors of Camelot take to the latest pairing to portray American politics' golden couple: Lana del Rey and A$AP Rocky? The pair are to portray the Kennedys in the video for National Anthem , the next single from Rey's album Born to Die . The rapper told 16bars.tv : "I play JFK, she plays Jackie O. Some cool, trippy shit, some real 2015 shit. People are going to get it in three years, and that's the whole purpose of it." Del Rey and A$AP recorded a proper collaboration some time ago. A studio clip for the track Ridin' was released online earlier this year, but was quickly withdrawn, after it emerged that the track was considered too good not to be included on the rapper's forthcoming LP. The record, LongLiveA$AP, is due next month. Rumours that Will.I.Am and Cheryl Cole are to portray Harold and Dorothy Macmillan in a forthcoming Cole video are, however, untrue.
