Barnet suspend winger Mark Marshall over positive drug test

The Barnet winger Mark Marshall has been provisionally suspended after testing positive for use of a banned substance. A statement on the League Two club's website said that the 24-year-old had been suspended pending a disciplinary hearing following the results of a recent test. Marshall has consequently missed Barnet's last two matches. The club said in mitigation that Marshall claimed to have unwittingly taken the banned substance in a supplement. Marshall was tested at Barnet's match at Dagenham & Redbridge on Boxing Day. The club said they would not be making any further comment at this stage.
