Judge orders inquiry into care of Michael Jackson's children
A judge has ordered an independent inquiry into the care of Michael Jackson's three children. As Katherine Jackson petitions to regain custody of her grandchildren, Los Angeles superior court ordered a probate investigator to interview Prince, 15, Paris, 14, and Blanket, 10, reporting to the court on their welfare. Judge Mitchell Beckloff's order, on Friday, seems a response to the ongoing crisis in the Jackson clan . Five of Michael's siblings have accused his executors of an elaborate conspiracy, charging them with falsifying the singer's will and mismanaging his estate. Out of concern for their mother's health, they claim, Katherine was taken to a spa in Arizona ; she remained there until late last week. But Michael's three children, and other family members, claimed they were prevented from speaking to the matriarch. Katherine was "badly lied to", Prince wrote on Twitter , after she had been missing for several days. On Wednesday, all three kids were put in the care of TJ Jackson, Michael's 34-year-old nephew. Now that Katherine is back in California, she has expressed an intention to be reinstated as her grandchildren's guardian. But the proposal will be for Katherine and TJ to share guardianship, according to her attorney, reflecting "how Mrs Jackson and TJ have often shared responsibilities of raising the children". Under this agreement, TJ will oversee the household staff, security and the children's education, the LA Times reports , while Katherine will manage their finances.
