Which books do you most like to read to your children?

When the University of Worcester asked parents what books they most wanted to pass on to their children, one in five replied with Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol , followed by the Harry Potter series, The Lord of the Rings, Pride and Prejudice and Alice in Wonderland. If you are a parent or guardian, which books do you most like to read to your children, and why? As a child, which books did you most like your mother or father to read to you?
