Q&A with Naomi Wolf and Ellen Magnis: the lessons of Penn State

Last week, Naomi wrote about the further possible revelations , in a batch of emails obtained by CNN, of how previous suspicions about the conduct of assistant coach Jerry Sandusky towards the boys in his charge had been discussed and, in effect, suppressed by the authorities at Penn State University. Child sexual abuse is often allowed to continue, Naomi argued, because of an institutional culture of collusion. How does this happen? And what is the effect on the victims of abusers? Join Naomi to discuss the issues and what might be done about them with Ellen Magnis, chief of external affairs at Dallas Children's Advocacy Center , who is a leader in an agency known as a national best-practice model for working with child abuse survivors. The webchat will be live from 12-1pm (ET; 5-6pm UK) on Monday 9 July; please post your questions and comments directly in the component below.
