Sussex NHS trust picks 2e2 for ICT services until 2019

Sussex Partnership NHS foundation trust has signed a £36.8m seven-year contract with 2e2 to provide all its ICT services. The deal, which will run until April 2019, will see the refresh of the trust's desktop PCs, laptops, mobile services and printers. It will also provide a new unified communications system for the trust that will allow staff to access trust applications from mobile devices, whether they are at a desk or working in the community, according to the company. It also said that it will deliver induction and training programmes to ensure staff have the skills and confidence to use the new technologies. The intention is for a gradual transition of IT services away from the current provider, Sussex Health Informatics Service, over the course of 2012.
