David Heath: Not here for the beer

I can put up with your speculation ( Report , 6 June) about the future of my constituency; I'll file it next to the equally authoritative research published a month or so ago that declared that, uniquely, my constituency would emerge unscathed, and wait for the real proposals from the Boundary Commission. Nor am I so pompous as to make a fuss because you described me as a backbencher ( Corrections , 7 June). But to suggest that I, born and bred in Somerset and representing the finest orchards and cider-makers in the world, am in any way associated with beer? I may have to rethink my position on superinjunctions! David Heath MP Deputy leader of the House of Commons and Lib Dem MP for Somerton & Frome
