War Horse by Michael Morpurgo - review

War Horse is the story of a red bay farm horse called Joey as he he is drawn into both sides in the first world war. Joey's owner Albert travels to France to find him. This is one of Michael Morpurgo's very best books and it has been turned into a tragic theatre production. The film adaptation by Steven Spielberg is to come out in January 2012. This book can be heartbreakingly sad at times so is not for the sensitive readers. I recommend it for anyone over 9 and likes war themed stories as this will blow them away. I rate it 5 stars!
