Axed Amanpour returns to CNN

Christiane Amanpour's stint as the anchor of ABC News's weekly political affairs programme This Week has come to an end. In the face of declining ratings, the US network has decided to replace her with George Stephanopoulos, who hosted the show for eight years from 2002.
