Golds up for grabs: 48 Sport of the day: goalball It's the final day of competition in the goalball tournament, which has seen 12 men's and 10 women's teams winnowed down to four each, who will battle it out for the medals on day nine. The sport, open to athletes with visual impairments, is played over two 12-minute halves, in which teams of three try to throw a ball loaded with bells past the opposition into a wide net. Britain are out of both the men's and women's competitions, but China, Brazil, Finland, Lithuania and others will be battling for medal glory.
