Leeds today: Frankenstein's Wedding, students' campaign and library joy

Good morning Leeds. Today I'm putting the spotlight on some community campaigns in Leeds. I'll be looking at South Leeds Sports Centre, Leeds buses, a city centre public meeting and playing fields in Roundhay/Moortown. Posts to follow through the day. What's making Leeds tick today? BBC Three is to stage Frankenstein's Wedding…Live In Leeds, reports Beehive City . In March 2011, the city will play host to a "spectacular live BBC Three TV event" – the marriage of scientist Victor Frankenstein and his bride-to-be, Elizabeth. Community group COVEN is leading the fightback over the poor condition of the old York Road Library building. On their blog, the group says it has won the backing of local councillors and council officers to do something about the building. Check out Coven's blogpost . Students at Leeds University will walk out at 11am on Wednesday and march into the city centre for a rally outside Leeds Art Gallery in the Headrow, reports the YEP . 'We will fight with students over fees', say lecturers from University of Leeds and Leeds Met at the Guardian . Should our international aid budget rise by a third? Is aid or trade better?
