One Kiss, One Hug by Jason Chapman - review

Jacob seemed to immediately identify with the bear characters of the story and as a difficult sleeper himself finds some solace in not being the only one (or at least that is what I project onto him). I enjoy the honesty of the frustration of the parents coupled with their loving responses to Ben Bear's needs. The illustrations are deep and full of detail. My husband Daniel, who most frequently reads to Jacob before bedtime, is less entranced as he feels the storyline is a bit boring. I find the mention of ice cream very difficult to navigate as Jacob immediately wants ice cream himself, regardless of the time or place, and so I tend to not read it to him at bedtime any longer and save it for lazy, rainy mornings.
