Book Club with Iain M Banks

Date: Wednesday 1 August Time: 7.30pm Venue: Hall One Price: £9.50/£11.50 Book Tickets Iain M Banks joins John Mullan for a discussion of his third Culture novel, Use of Weapons . Cheradenine Zakalwe, born outside the Culture, was recruited into it by Special Circumstances agent Diziet Sma. Iain Banks came to widespread and controversial public notice with the publication of his debut novel, The Wasp Factory , in 1984. His first novel in the Culture series, Consider Phlebas, was published in 1987. He has continued to write both mainstream fiction (as Iain Banks) and science fiction (as Iain M. Banks).
