Goddess Girls: Athena the Brain by Joan Holub and Suzanne Williams - review

This book is great. It has an historical setting, well-developed characters and a good plot. It's about a girl called Athena who gets a letter from her dad, Zeus, saying she is a goddess and needs to go to Mount Olympus Academy! Unfortunately, this means leaving her best friend, Pallas, behind. At the academy, she meets the goddess girls: Artemis, Aphrodite and Persephone. She also meets Medusa and her sisters, the school bullies. She likes to invent things but the things she thought of just rained down on the mortals below! She decides to enter the school's invention fair but it goes horribly wrong when Medusa gets her invention... I liked this book but it was ever so slightly factually inaccurate. If you can get past that, you will enjoy this book. I would recommend it to girls aged 8+. Want to tell the world about a book you've read? Join the site and send us your review!
