The Rolling Stones will never quit, says Ronnie Wood
The Rolling Stones will never retire, according to guitarist Ronnie Wood. The veteran rock'n'rollers have long been the subject of speculation regarding their future, but speaking to BBC Radio 4's Front Row programme, Wood – who, at 63, is the band's youngest member – claimed that the band continue to look to the future. Asked whether the ageing band would continue to play live for as long as possible, Wood said: "Oh definitely. The old phrase: We will rock 'til we drop!" The Rolling Stones last released an album in 2005 with A Bigger Bang. Meanwhile Wood himself, who has been battling alcoholism, revealed that he has now gone seven months sober. "I've never felt so comfortable with it," he added. The Stones are set to release two limited-edition vinyl box sets next month, spanning their entire career.
