Regina Spektor - What We Saw from the Cheap Seats: exclusive album stream

Regina Spektor makes quirky, literate and stylistically varied pop – talking to her recently , she said: "There are lots of different places I like to go to explore. I've written a straight-up jazz standard type song, and I've written a country song, if produced in a colour-by-numbers sort of way. I'm not really interested in having a specific genre, though. I don't believe people have to commit to anything artistically." The Russian-born New Yorker has released five critically acclaimed albums , now counts President Barack Obama among her fans, and has a sixth album due for release later this month, called What We Saw from the Cheap Seats. Have a listen and tell us what you think in the comments thread below. • What We Saw from the Cheap Seats is released on Sire / Warner Bros records on 28 May and is available for pre-order.
