England v Pakistan cricket highlights draw 780,000
Highlights of England's remarkable comeback in the fourth Test against Pakistan were watched by 780,000 viewers on Channel 5 on Friday, 28 August. Cricket on Five averaged a 4.1% share of the audience between 7.15pm and 8pm. Jonathan Trott and Stuart Broad's record-breaking eighth-wicket stand already numbered 244 by the end of Friday's play, although the stand – which would ultimately reach 332 – would later be overshadowed by allegations of "spot-fixing" by the Pakistani team . The cricket beat the end of Channel 4 News, which had 577,000, a 3.3% share between 7pm and 7.25pm on Channel 4, with another 33,000 viewers on Channel 4 +1. A Who Do You Think You Are? repeat on BBC2 had 885,000 viewers, 4.7% of the audience between 7pm and 8pm on BBC2. ITV1/ITV1 HD's Coronation Street, pulled in 7.339 million viewers, a 37.3% share, between 7.30pm and 8pm, beating BBC1's A Question of Sport, which had 3.602 million viewers, 18.2% of the audience.
