TalkTalk hires former BBC digital developer Rahul Chakkara
Rahul Chakkara, the controller of TV platforms at the BBC who was involved in the development of the iPlayer and Project Canvas, has been hired by the broadband company TalkTalk. Chakkara, who was given an expanded role in March by BBC digital chief Erik Huggers covering online product development for children's, sport and music, left the corporation on Wednesday 30 June. At TalkTalk he takes the newly created title of director of online and will be responsible for online properties including talktalk.co.uk, the members forum and sales sites.
