The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas - review

Dumas tale of love and betrayal begins in pre-revolution France with our protagonist D'Artagnan travelling to Paris with his future sealed in a envelope. When the letter is stolen by a cloaked figure, D'Artagnan travels to Paris regardless and enrolls in the company of the Kings Musketeers where he meets Porthos, Aramis and Athos. An epic friendship begins which brings them to the Duke Of Buckingham's palace to La Rochelle amid a backdrop of political wars, friends and foes are made, and yet their relationship remains solid. A fantastic read and I would recommend it as a bedtime story for younger readers or a book for 10-13 year olds. It is a classic and will forever remain one.
